Values Card Sort
What actually matters to you?
This exercise is adapted from the Personal Values Card Sort developed at the University of New Mexico. It takes about 10–15 minutes and is a useful starting point for the signal work.
How it works
Sort a set of values into three piles: Not Important, Important, or Very Important to you right now.
Narrow to your top 10 from your Very Important pile.
Narrow to your top 5. Keep going deeper.
Narrow to your top 3. The core of your signal.
See your signal. Your values, named and visible — a foundation for the work.

Your Signal
These are your values.
Not the values your career installed. Not what you think you should care about. What you actually said matters most — right now.
Print the Values Card and put it somewhere you'll see it.
